Overview of the Pillar of Thievery
Day 19 of Winter Cloak of the year 297

While "taking something that doesn't belong to you" sounds so simple and to the point, the applications of the idea are almost infinite. Followers of this path are of course adept at picking locks, picking pockets, avoiding traps and similiar abilities, but it doesn't stop there. Stealing Hope from someone, for example, requires much guile, malice, and cunning. The same with someones dignity, or any other positive emotions. And even for removing negative emotions from someone, though the nature of the temple doesn't focus on that aspect. Those that choose this path must actually have the UTMOST respect for personal property, or else they wouldn't desire it. Honor among thieves applies to all followers of the temple. This pillar is not for the faint of heart, for those who freeze up under pressure.

There are three ranks in the Pillar, and they are as follows:

Devotee of Thievery
The devotees are the heart and soul of the pillar; without their sturdy foundation, the pillar would topple and fall. Although those of this rank are masters of thievery, they understand that perfection in thievery is a myth. Anything can happen, therefore they are ever contemplating and studying their art.

Thievery's Mastermind
The Masterminds of the Pillar are considered Counselors, to help guide Devotee's in their studies of the complexities of Thievery. There are two at any given time, and in the event that a Priest moves up or steps down, the senior Mastermind will move and take his or her place. While not an official title, the position is noted on the roster, and denoted with a * in the Devotee's Title, so other Devotee's may know to seek them out.

Priest of Thievery
The Priests are the guiding force of the Pillar. They conduct the interviews, accept members as Devotees, and decide who is worthy of the Mastermind position. Their dedication to the temple and its members is unquestioned.
